This week, I need your help!
Apologies in advance for not writing a newsletter this week. But the situation demands something more important than financial gyaan. I need your support in helping people fighting Covid, and all you need to give me is 60 seconds, with which you can save a life!
A 7-year old girl in my locality lost both her parents to Covid. While the couple was admitted in the hospital, the girl was with the neighbours. Doctors advised to get plasma for the parents, but since there was nobody else in the family, it could not be arranged.
The father lost his battle to Covid after 12 days. The mother passed away 3 days later. The child is still with neighbours, but will move to her hometown to stay with grandparents.
If only the two would have been able to get plasma treatment early on, they could have probably had a chance at survival. The 7-year old would have had a bright future. Today, they are deciding which set of grandparents she will stay with.
This is just one story of many. There are old parents losing their only son/daughter. Someone I know, lost both her parents to Covid. Imagine - just in two weeks, her family was gone.
Now, we as individuals have no control over providing oxygen cylinders, ICU beds or ventilators. But we do have control over one thing - PLASMA.
Plasma therapy is being given to many patients struggling with Covid. And if you are someone who has recovered from Covid recently, your plasma can be given to a Covid patient to help save his/her life. No government interference, no money laundering, no frantic calls for help.
Some of us have got together on WhatsApp and are volunteering to create a database of plasma donors. We have matched donors to at least verified 50 patients till date, a lot of whom have been discharged from the hospital already. Currently, we have a lot of patients, but very less donors left, and we need your support. If you’ve recovered from Covid, please fill register for plasma donation by filling up the form HERE and do your bit to help save a life! If you know someone who has recovered from Covid, please share this e-mail or the form link with them, and ask them to fill it up.
If not for anybody else, please do it for yourself. We’ve been doing this since the past few days, and trust me, there is nothing more satisfying than hearing “Thank you for helping me save my father’s life” from the daughter of a guy who was critical and is now discharged. No appraisal, promotion or pay hike can give the kind of satisfaction that this will give.
So, please! If you’re a Covid survivor, PLEASE DONATE!
Please share this article or form link via e-mail, WhatsApp or social media in your circle. We need donors, and we need them fast.
On the personal finance front, we will be back with the newsletters next week. This week, Mumbai, Delhi and the whole of India needs your help.
